Graphic Designer
Brand identity designer in Johannesburg, seven years in practice, working from pattern outward. I grew up between Soweto and my grandmother's home in the Eastern Cape, and the stripes, beadwork geometry and colour blocking I saw there are the starting point for most of my systems. I license and credit patterns with the craftswomen I work with, then rebuild them as scalable marks, type-friendly repeat tiles and packaging. Recent work: the Copperleaf Reserve roastery packaging, Hearthly's South Africa property identity and Tunewave's Joburg festival system. I brief clients in English, isiZulu or isiXhosa, and everything ships as Figma libraries plus a printed pattern book. My studio is a small team of three.
