Terms of Use

Collabea is a demonstration deployment. The marketplace you see is populated with sample content so the product can be explored properly, and no money moves through the platform. You can still create a real account, and if you do, this is the agreement between us.

1. What Collabea is

Collabea is a marketplace where brands post work and creators apply for it. When the two sides agree, the platform generates a contract with milestones and deliverables, and gives both parties messaging, file sharing and a record of what was agreed.

Collabea is not a party to any agreement between a brand and a creator. We provide the place where you find each other and the record of what you agreed. We do not employ creators, guarantee the quality of anyone's work, or vouch for anyone's identity beyond the checks described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Payments

Collabea does not process, hold or transmit payments. Brands pay creators directly, by whatever method the two of you agree. The platform records a two-sided handshake — the brand marks a milestone paid, the creator confirms it arrived — and timestamps both.

Because we never hold the money, we cannot refund it, claw it back, or release it on anyone's behalf. What we hold is the record: the agreed terms, the message history and the delivery timestamps. There is no platform fee.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 to use Collabea.
• Give accurate information, and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account.
• One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your portfolio, your messages, your deliverables. By uploading it you give Collabea permission to store it and display it where the product needs to: your portfolio on your profile, your deliverables to the brand who commissioned them, your messages to the people in the conversation.

Uploaded files are stored at public URLs that do not expire. The addresses are long and effectively unguessable, but anyone holding one can open the file — including after a contract ends or an account is deleted. Please do not upload identity documents, bank details or anything else you would not want to lose control of.

Only upload work you have the right to upload. If you use music, feature other people, or shoot in a location that needs clearance, that is yours to sort out.

5. What you may not do

• Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or what you have done.
• Post unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content.
• Advertise anything you are not legally permitted to advertise.
• Scrape, resell or systematically extract content from the platform.
• Try to break, overload or find your way around the platform's security.

We may suspend or remove an account that does any of this. Given the scale of this deployment, that decision is made by a person rather than a system.

6. Disputes between users

If you fall out with someone you are working with, either of you can raise a dispute on the contract. That freezes reviews and the contract's progress, and makes the disagreement visible alongside everything already recorded.

There is no mediator and no arbitration panel. We cannot decide who is right or move money between you. The record is what we can offer, and it is yours to use wherever you need to.

7. Availability

This is a demonstration deployment. It may be slow, unavailable, reset, or changed without notice, and sample content may be restored at any time. Please do not rely on Collabea as the only record of anything that matters to you.

8. Liability

Collabea is provided as it is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost income, lost data, or anything that goes wrong between you and another user — including non-payment, non-delivery, or a dispute over rights.

9. Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, or deactivate it if you only want a break. Deleting anonymises your personal details immediately; see the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice. We may close an account that breaches these terms.

10. Changes

If these terms change materially, the version stamp at the top changes with them, and the version you agreed to is recorded against your account.
